Carnosol

Overview

Carnosol is a phenolic diterpene found in rosemary and sage and is often formed through oxidation of carnosic acid. It is frequently cited as one of the principal rosemary bioactives in antioxidant and inflammation-oriented mechanistic studies. Evidence for anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects is substantial in cellular and animal models, while human intervention data are still limited.
